A 15 year goal for the City of Overland Park, BC Development was able to fulfill those goals, by completing a 412 room full service Sheraton Hotel connected to the Convention Center. The hotel is a 318,000 square foot, 20 story first class upscale convention center hotel. In addition, three ballrooms totaling over 11,000 square feet and meeting and board room space totaling over 25,000 square feet provide additional meeting space for the adjacent convention center. The hotel connects by all-weather access and a shared courtyard to the adjacent 237,000 square foot convention center. As the tallest building in Overland Park, the Sheraton is a highly visible landmark throughout the city. This prominent hotel is the key to bringing Overland Park into the destination convention center market.

Our scope of services included financing, negotiation of documents and agreements, and input as to end oversight of design, construction, pre-opening marketing and operations. The project was completed in December, 2002, ahead of schedule and under budget.
